Adapted from the novel “A Promise on the Lips, Floating Clouds Beyond the Ridge” by 冠盖满京华, this gentle and emotional BL mini-series paints a poignant portrait of youthful love blooming in unexpected places.

It tells the story of Hei Nuo, a quiet boy raised under difficult circumstances. His mother passed away during childbirth, and his father struggled to raise multiple children on his own. In contrast, Si Yan comes from a privileged background—wealthy, well-bred, and confident.

Their paths cross at the beginning of their first year in high school. Si Yan initially looks down on Hei Nuo, who silently takes on chores and cleaning duties without complaint. But as time passes, an unspoken bond begins to form between them—quiet and steady, like sand gradually layering the ground.

Yet, as their final year of high school begins, an unexpected conflict causes a painful rift between them…
