Illusion (错觉), based on the novel by Lan Lin, is officially getting a live-action drama adaptation. It marks the third of the author’s works to be adapted for the screen, following Double Helix and A Round Trip to Love.
The story centers on Qiao Si, a powerful man whose reputation commands respect wherever he goes. Convinced that nothing can shake his resolve, he finds himself unable to escape his feelings for the one person he can never truly have—his half-brother, Qiao Che.
Standing by his side is Duan Heng, a young man who has served Qiao Si faithfully for ten years. Raised under Qiao Si’s protection and regarded as one of his possessions, Duan Heng quietly harbors a love that remains steadfast, fearless, and impossible to ignore.
Filming is scheduled to begin in November, with the series planned for 16 episodes, each running approximately 45 minutes.
