Love Algorithm, starring Jack Go and Zhen Ning, is a new Malaysian BL series premiering on July 15. Performed in Mandarin, the series follows two former best friends whose paths cross again years after they drifted apart.
The story centers on the producer of a dating reality show and a famous singer who were once inseparable during high school. However, a misunderstanding drove them apart, leaving their friendship unfinished. Years later, fate reunites them when the singer joins the very show the producer is working on.
As they are forced to work side by side, the feelings they once buried gradually begin to resurface. At the same time, the singer enters a scripted fake relationship with one of the female contestants for the show, but what starts as an act slowly develops into genuine emotions, further complicating the situation.
Blending reunion romance, workplace drama, and the entertainment industry, Love Algorithm explores how unresolved feelings from the past collide with the realities of the present, leaving its characters to question where their hearts truly belong.
